Early on after entering incubation we discussed following semantic versioning.
Specifically http://semver.org/
We should document various scenarios of bug fixes, simple features, major
refactorings, breaking changes, new extensions, etc.. and provide guidance on
how to handle versioning of those components and potentially of parent
components that depend on them.
