Review Comment:
Fixed: both kthread_create() failure paths now set ret from priv->pidrx /
priv->pidtx before the goto, so probe cannot free the private data and return
success.

Review Comment:
Fixed: the probe now posts semrx and semtx once before returning, so buffers
the peer queued and kicked before the probe are drained. Verified with the
out-of-tree round trip described in the PR comment: without this post the first
read blocks forever.

Review Comment:
Fixed: the buffer parameter is FAR uint8_t * now, so buf + written is no
longer void pointer arithmetic.
