before allocating centroid arrays.

Historical fractional endpoints and

preservation does not ensure reverse upgrades.

quantiles on historical data.

Review Comment:
Addressed in 21d26f9798. Inspection is now explicit in parser state and
immutable metadata, copied into fanout readers and cleared on every reset. The
redundant reader flag is removed; numerical NaN no longer means uninspected.
The existing regression now includes +Inf/-Inf weights and metadata-based
reset, and fails before/passes after while preserving degraded statistics and
original bytes.

Review Comment:
Addressed in 21d26f9798. Added the identity-aware assertion at
prepareSerializedTDigest entry. All seven reset sites were audited; distinct
external readers and valid empty merges remain allowed. Ten existing
pending/fractional/corrupt/zero-mass cases pass with assertions enabled and
disabled, and an isolated reset-order mutant triggers the exact diagnostic. No
extra committed test was needed.
