It is a good start. I think one thing lacks here, we should still consider having the producer name available. The producer name can become a producer group name. If multiple producers are using same producer name, they are in the same group. Hence the de-duplication problem actually becomes de-duplication within the same producer group. It will preserve the meaning of "producer name" and be able to adopt use cases that @EugenDueck want to address.
