but as a user you can't control the url anyways, so what's the point?
in any case, i don't really care about letting people see the url first as long
as we do 2 things. first, make sure it's understood that the url is not active
or available yet. second, make sure it doesn't make the UI worse.
one of the things i really hated about the way the url was displayed previously
is that it was a big long url that took up a full line in the entry editor UI
and it looked ugly and was useless to most people. so my thinking is that we
should be trying to keep the UI as sleek and simple as possible and this is one
of the elements that I think we can do without. if you can find a way to put
it in so that it isn't obtrusive and ugly then i'm fine with that, but if not
then i am -1 to adding it back.
