David Johnson commented on ROL-1487:
------------------------------------
"but as a user you can't control the url anyways, so what's the point? "
For one thing, I want to see what the anchor will look like. But in general,
when I publish things to the web I want to know what URL will be used to
display them.
But that is a good point. No control. Once the anchor is created, it cannot be
changed. I'd like to make it possible for users to control the anchor part of
the URL. Most Roller bloggers learn how to come up with titles that look good
in an anchor, but it's a trial and error affair. But I'm not proposing we do
that now.
I use Roller daily and rely on this feature, so I'm going to restore the
permalink display and make it inactive until the entry is published.

> It is *very* useful to be able to see the full entry permalink for both
> published and draft entries, as we were able to before the Struts 2
> migration. This feature should be restored.
