This would be valuable coverage for exactly the kind of CDC restore bug described in #11260. A practical first version could keep the matrix narrow: run the previous released connector/runtime against a tiny savepoint, restore on `dev`, and assert source enumerator state plus sink state can be read without class/schema drift.
