Thanks for the proposal. Since BOS provides an S3-compatible API, could you check whether the existing S3 File connector (with a custom endpoint) or Hive with an fs.defaultFS pointing to BOS already covers your use case? That would help determine whether a dedicated connector is needed. If a dedicated connector is needed, it could likely follow the pattern of the existing OSS/COS file connectors, which are thin wrappers over the base file connector using the corresponding Hadoop filesystem implementation (e.g., bos-hdfs). Contributions are welcome if anyone in the community wants to pick this up. Could you share more details on the Hive-on-BOS scenario (e.g., Hive table location URIs, required auth configuration such as access key/secret key/endpoint)?
