Thanks @DanielLeens for the deep trace confirming the fix is correct and materially better than the sleep. Regarding Issue 2 (parallelism > 1 on a single table): I agree it's a real, pre-existing limitation and not something this PR should try to solve. I've documented it explicitly in the PR description under "Known limitation" (ยง 1.4/1.2 follow-up) so reviewers and users are aware.
