Thanks @SEZ9. CI result for `5a0f93b37de`, stated plainly: fork run 37345594530 ran no tests. The `Dead links` job failed on HTTP 429 from `deepwiki.com` and the remaining jobs were cancelled or skipped behind it, so `ManagedSourceRegisterOperationSerializationTest` has not executed in CI and I cannot confirm that it passes. (The earlier `engine-v2-it` timeout in `ManagedSourceRuntimeIT` that I mentioned is a separate, still-open problem.) A rerun would hit the same 429 today; the fix is #12639, open and awaiting review. I will re-run this head once it lands and post the result. On the follow-up for the pre-existing `AssignSplitOperation#readInternal` (`taskID = in.readObject()`) and the base `TaskOperation#readInternal`: I have not filed that issue yet, so F1's second ask is still open on my side.
