Classification: A / Connector-V2 file Parquet INT96 calendar-system correctness. The current dev code uses Calendar.getInstance with UTC and then interprets Calendar.YEAR as a Gregorian LocalDate year, so the locale-dependent calendar-system bug is credible and the reported Thai-locale round trip is a strong reproduction. This must be fixed at the INT96 encoding boundary, not by changing a process-wide locale. Please use an explicitly Gregorian or java.time-based conversion and add value round-trip tests, not only schema assertions. The test must temporarily set and restore the default locale, cover th_TH and a non-Gregorian-calendar locale such as ja-JP-u-ca-japanese, and verify timestamp value, time of day, and default-locale independence. Keep this focused on the proven INT96 path; do not make broad Calendar changes in unrelated connectors. Please link the focused PR here. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
