Confirmed against current `dev`: `BinaryWriteStrategy#getOrCreateFilePathBeingWritten` now routes `custom_filename` through the custom-file path, while the default relative-path behavior remains intact. This came from merged PR #10817, whose Build succeeded. The single-source-file restriction for binary custom filenames is also present in the implementation.
