Classification: F / JSON-format CDC before-image handling. The failure described is row-local: membership must be determined from the matching row's direct `old` fields, while an explicit null in that same old image must remain null. #12867 is the implementation and review lane. Its current Build requires action; please keep both the multi-row Canal case and the nested-Maxwell-name case, plus the explicit-null regression, in that PR.
