   @JeremyXin you said on #12938 that you would track the `ChainedMapTransform`
UID and field-initialization work separately, so this issue is meant as that
tracking record, not a claim on the fix. Are you still on it?

   The measurements are in the description. Two that may save you time:

   1. Making the field `transient` restores the pre-#12804 UID
`8769738606872706499` on its own, because the computation skips private
transient fields. No explicit pin and no `serialver` run needed. The rebuild is
the part that matters.
   2. Both paths fail, not just `map()`: `setInputCatalogTables` ends in
`refreshExtraTablePaths()`, which starts with `extraTablePaths.clear()`, so a
schema change throws rather than repairing the instance.

   Unrelated, it also confirms your pin on #12938: `7090258061839605137` is
exactly the pre-#12804 implicit UID of `AbstractMultiCatalogTransform`.

   I have the fix and the stream fixtures ready and will hold off on a PR. Say
the word if you would rather hand it over.
