Thanks for the detailed measurements and for checking both implementation options. I’ve updated #12990 based on your feedback: - `extraTablePaths` is `transient` and non-final. `readObject()` initializes it before calling `refreshExtraTablePaths()`. - I removed the explicit `serialVersionUID`; the test now verifies that the computed UID remains `8769738606872706499`. - The compatibility target is streams written before #12804. Streams from the intermediate, unreleased post-#12804 snapshot window (`4659105814088680487`) are intentionally not supported. - The current-version round-trip test now calls both `map()` and `setInputCatalogTables()` after deserialization.
