Resolved the current conflicts against `dev` (`d676f91b3d6aaa2cca693816697a211e4d384805`) in `b7e6bf4222795b7ac7df8390ed0283f7f44d3ca1`. The final PR remains limited to its original eleven files. The resolution preserves current upstream Iceberg type handling and the documented multi-table replica default, while retaining optional `DELETE_COMMIT` as the backward-compatible drop-data default. Added explicit API documentation that `HARD_METADATA_RESET` is an opt-in table-wide operation removing all refs/snapshots, that a configured non-main branch is recreated, and that physical orphan cleanup is separate. Required class comments and helper ordering are also corrected. Scoped Spotless and target-relative whitespace checks passed; independent maintainer source/scope review passed. At immediate remote readback, new-head CI and mergeability had not yet been populated.
