Updated the original branch at `28b3f2575d3f`. Fresh/checkpoint-disabled construction no longer lists retention history. Recreated coordinators use metadata-only ID enumeration in both built-in storage plugins, avoiding full checkpoint payload materialization and retaining corrupt-file IDs for normal retirement. The optional default preserves external storage SPI compatibility with an explicit warning and documented capability limitation. Storage, restore, legacy-plugin and existing engine E2E regression coverage was updated; scoped formatting and independent repair review passed.
