Andreas Andreou commented on TAP5-994:
--------------------------------------
patch looks fine - are there any other similar open issues?
Cause it seems there's a pattern here, i.e. try to eliminate all
$('foo') usages from java code.
> Field autofocus should be done via Tapestry.init instead of using $ function

> Key: TAP5-994
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAP5-994
> Project: Tapestry 5
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: tapestry-core
> Affects Versions: 5.2.0
> Reporter: Robin Komiwes
>
> As said in the title, field autofocus should be done using the classical
> tapestry.js model, i.e. using Tapestry.init() and
> Tapestry.Initializer.Autofocus .
> Currently, the output produced looks like
> $('textfield').activate();
> It is Prototype specific and prevent from migrating to another JS library.
