Robin Komiwes commented on TAP5-994:
------------------------------------
In fact, I'm currently working on this task, in order to make a full jQuery
implementation of tapestry.js.
As far as I know, this is the only reference I saw, but I will continue to
investigate.
> Field autofocus should be done via Tapestry.init instead of using $ function

> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: tapestry-core
> Affects Versions: 5.2.0

>
> As said in the title, field autofocus should be done using the classical
> tapestry.js model, i.e. using Tapestry.init() and
> Tapestry.Initializer.Autofocus .
> Currently, the output produced looks like
> $('textfield').activate();
> It is Prototype specific and prevent from migrating to another JS library.
