The old version of the test works with 10k iterations, the new one with 1k.
The old one ran for ~ 45secs, the new for ~27secs on my computer.
old : 0.0045s per iteration
new: 0.027s per iteration
0.027 / 0.0045 = 6 times slower
Not 15 but still slower :-)
