The current Parquet source limitations described in this issue have now been
documented through #937, which has been merged.
Since documenting these shortcomings was the recommended approach in the
discussion, could anyone pls confirm whether #901 can now be closed? Is the
intention is to keep this issue open to track a future implementation for
schema merging or Hive partition-column synthesis?
