Doug Cutting commented on HADOOP-7020:
--------------------------------------
I'm still confused about why a hardhatted elephant is "in poor taste" and "not
appropriate". Your objection does not appear graphical or legal. Is it
punitive or political? Please explain.
I don't believe that Cloudera ever sold a copy of Desktop, and, shortly after
the initial prototype was demoed it was renamed the HUE open source proje.
Early on, an orange hardhatted elephant logo was removed from its interface,
since, as you noted, it was an unlicensed use of an Apache mark. How does this
forever taint any such graphics?
