Agree with Arpit that this shouldn't have been merged without a merge vote.
Could we treat this as a learning experience? Looking at the JIRA, at least two
committers (Kai and Steve) did look at it, and what happened seems like an
honest mistake not to be repeated.
Sending a ping to common-dev would be good as a heads-up, but I'm hoping we can
retroactively +1 to avoid the git gymnastics to revert and recommit the code.
