Just because you consider it stable or you sent an email with such an idea, it
is not stable. Community decides that. There have already been discussions
around that.
You confirmed what I have been feeling - even though you have been giving many
reason, the only reason for you to block incompatible alpha changes on apache
is it makes CDH incompatible or at least the parts of CDH that is considered
stable incompatible.
