I think native.sln is added to list of files that should be ignored from Apache
license text check. [~cnauroth] can .sln files support inclusion of Apache
license?

Yes. After the merge I will remove that file and merge it into CHANGES.txt as
done for previous feature branch changes.
bq. Do we still need cygwin after that patch? If not shouldn't all cygpath
occurrences be removed?
