[~drankye]: converting the wireformat to protobuf for both SASL request and
response will address all your concerns as protobuf allows adding new fields
without breaking backward compatibility.
[~sanjay.radia]: since the "old sasl" request doesn't exist for RPC v9 yet, I
think we can get away with not handling SASL version mismatch until the next
sasl version when. :)
