Sorry, I've been in a whirlwind of issues. Simply protobuf-ing the existing
sasl protocol isn't necessarily going to give us the flexibility we need going
forward.
I'm perhaps 1/2 done with the changes (evolving and I learn more of the nitty
gritty of the RPC layer) and hope to have something ready next week.
