The changes in this jira fundamentally boils down to:
* SASL protobufs
* RPC header wrapped SASL protobufs
* Server advertised SASL auth methods
There's not much additional complexity involved. Using this model opens the
door to a lot of features such as easier support of the alternate auth methods
being proposed, IP failover, token support for multi-interface and
multi-hostnames for servers, multi-plexing UGIs over a single connection, etc.
Sanjay, I'll contact you offline to bring you up to speed on this lengthy jira.
