Tsz Wo Nicholas Sze commented on HADOOP-11017:
----------------------------------------------
Given the patch has findbugs warning, we should not commit it to trunk. Trunk
is not a development branch so that we should not break it anytime. If there
is a need for a development branch, please feel free to create one.
Also please do not commit more than one patches to trunk for one JIRA. It is
hard for others to follow. We may either revert the first patch, combine both
patches and then commit it; or create another JIRA for the so called "addendum".
I am really not able to follow this JIRA well and have the following questions:
- Which file is the first committed patch?
- Which file is the so called "addendum"? Is it HADOOP-11017.12.patch? What
is the reason that not filing a new JIRA?
- Why filing HADOOP-11122 for fixing the findbugs warning but not fixing it
here before committing the patch?
