Nemanja Matkovic commented on HADOOP-12432:
-------------------------------------------
Imports and more tests - make sense.
Do you have any suggestions for what kind of tests you would like to see for
this? My initial thought was that this patch is so small that just extending a
bit test (as I did) should suffice I can rethink that :)
For testing on top of HDFS-8078 - I've actually rebased on branch HADOOP-11890
where HDFS-8078 is committed and have done additional cluster testing in that
setup (excluded nodes/included nodes) so that should be sufficient.
Nate is trying to figure out why QA bot is unhappy with our branch so that we
can get proper test pass on it, I might merge it with HDFS-8078 on trunk and
submit union of these patches on trunk just to see what QA bot would say.

> This is a tracking item for having e2e IPv6 support in HDFS.
> Nate did great ground work in HDFS-8078 but for having whole feature working
> e2e this one of the items missing.
> Basically today NN won't be able to parse IPv6 addresses if they are present
> in include or exclude list.
> Patch has a dependency (and has been tested on IPv6 only cluster) on top of
> HDFS-8078.14.patch
> This should be committed to HADOOP-11890 branch.
