http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19857 Methods ConvertUtilsBean.convert could check for converters registered with base classes ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-06-11 18:06 ------- Converting to a super-class is not good enough since the caller expects to get something that casts to the requested target class. Converting to a sub-class would be useful, although I don't see it as doable since Class doesn't have a method called something like "getKnownSubclasses". On the other hand, if you were talking about the situation that bug 20686 requests, then I could see looking up the super-class chain for the source class. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
