Hmm, I've applied your patches locally today and then started to tweak as I had a few problems running all the tests under Ant. As it happens, you get unhappy with the (test) code in general (stream tests could be done in memory, File.length() sometimes doesn't return the right file length, etc. etc.) and you find yourself refactoring the tests. Short, I haven't finished, yet and I am running out of time today. I hope to finish by Tuesday. And I also hope changes you (Matthew) may have done in the meantime are not in vain.
