http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=32360 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-11-01 02:31 ------- Folks, We cannot go indefinitely closing and re-opening this bug. It's a can of worms, we've got to keep it closed. There were numerous requests to add this feature. The requests were based on a NEED to have it. That's why it was added. We realize that it gives the user an option of mildly disobeying the XPath 1.0 standard. We know that, and we have agreed to accept that. I don't like the idea of "improving" a standard any more than the next guy, but sometimes you gotta do what you need to do, not what you'd rather do. This feature is a reasonable compromise between purity and necessity. I hope we can return the bug into the "Resolved" status. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
