http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=37436 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-11-17 14:45 ------- All depends on who your target market is. If its yourself, then having dependencies is fine. However if you want others, end users, to use your library you need to make it as simple to use as possible - that includes minimising the number of dependencies. You have two choices, bring the complexity inhouse or expose it to your users. For the sake of two copy methods that are very standard java I would rather keep complexity inhouse away from the user - there are many people who feel strongly about this. If we are not vigilant before we know it we have half of the commons as dependencies for just a few methods in each. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
