I've got no objection to a name change. I agree the OMDataSource name could be confusing, though it was the most concise description I could think of. And no, it does not implement DataSource (though it's somewhat similar in purpose). I suppose something like OMDataHolder or OMRawData could be used instead, though these names don't seem to me to fit as well. I know at least a few people on the list have looked into the code and know what it's doing - any suggestions or preferences?

Hi Dennis,
How about changing the name of the OMDataSource to something else..
After looking in to the recent discussions it seems that the name is
the reason for lot of confusion...
OMDataSource sounds like it implements the
javax.activation.DataSource. (I hope it's not.. Frankly I haven't had
a look at the source)

Just a small suggestion from me... :)

Hi Dennis,

I re-revert the changes and now you should see them back again in Axiom
and Axis2. If there are missing parts, please add them.

I also +1 to the idea of OMDataSource.

I hope you and all can understand that, I revert your changes not
because of a problem with the technical content or anything, but because
there was no response from you for question on that and due to RC. So
hope this is settled now.

And I'd like to have a RC3, ASAP, preferably tomorrow, with these
changes. What do you all think about it ?

If the changes *are* going to make it into Axiom I'll finish up my Axis2
JiBX code changes tomorrow. Everything was working prior to the Axiom
rollback, with only the unit tests still incomplete.

I apologize for creating this mess through not subscribing to the proper
email list and properly tracking the state of the project, and for
wasting everyone's time as a result of my ignorance. I find it
personally somewhat ironic that I was one of the people who voted in
favor of moving Axiom out of the Axis2 tree in the first place, but then
didn't follow up on the change myself. I'll work at being a better
Apache team member in the future.
