This issue was raised and the change to Geronimo's StAX api was made back 
in Oct. '07 by Woden as we needed to understand the license requirements 
of Woden's prereqs as a precursor to graduation from incubation. You can

Hi Phil, there's a stax-api from geronimo which I believe does have a
license on it. It's available at [1].
I think we updated the Axiom build to pull that version in, but
perhaps we need to do Neethi as well.
