For linux tag it is most certainly too late - but given that we do not have a European/Asian conference planned anytime soon - I could easily see a group of coordinated German Apache members working with something like LinuxTag to have a german mini apache conference tacked on the end. And even borrow the apache logo/pr/name/etc for such.
