I'm sorry I didn't write clearly enough - I wasn't asking about that :-)

That is exactly what is happen with the gsm part of the phone. It is
on a separate system. Own cpu, ram, etc. It communicate with the linux
system over seriƦl connection.

My question is if the separate system-on-a-chip is ROM, or if it can
be upgraded?
