I tried pretty much exactly the steps you described but I can't get booting from SD card to work, neither for Qtopia not for OpenMoko.... I must be missing something. http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Booting_from_SD seems to suggest that you need to use a specially prepared kernel. Is this so? Any ideas what else could be the problem? Unfortunately the Neo resets so fast when trying to boot from SD that I can't really read what's going on.
