Hi! I've tried both evince and epdf to view pdf:s. They both do the basic stuff ok ( I think evince is a bit better) - but both fail when you start the full screen mode (epdf) or presentation mode (evince).
Evince presentation: you can click the screen to get to the next page. After the last page you get a black screen telling to press esc to close the view. This is not possible without a keyboard - and the button to launch the keyboard is somewhere there behind the presentation. Bugrep: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309364 -> powerdown or kill evince over ssh. epdf full screen: can't go to the next page. I guess pgdn would do it. Neither can you close the fullscreen view, no buttons around to do it. -> powerdown or kill evince over ssh. I'd hope the programs would support a) mouse only ie. not having to click ESC ( I don't know if there would be some menu behind the right mouse button?) b) touchscreen Is there anyone who could do something about this? - use aux to launch keyboard/home or close the running program ( I never lock the keyboard, I suspend..) - write the required features to epdf (click to go to the next page and close when viewing the last slide) and evince (click to close presentation mode) r -- | risto h. kurppa | risto at kurppa dot fi | http://risto.kurppa.fi _______________________________________________ Openmoko community mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
