Following CBMI'99 and CBMI'01 that were held respectively in Toulouse, France, and in Brescia, Italy, CBMI'03 will take place in Rennes, Brittany, France. The scientific program of CBMI'03 will include the presentation of invited plenary talks, contributed research papers and two special sessions devoted to European projects concerned with that domain. Selected papers from CBMI'99 and CBMI'01 were published in a special issue, respectively, of Multimedia Tools and Applications (14(2), 2001) and of IEEE Multimedia (9(2), 2002). Selected papers from CBMI'03 will appear (after extension and peer-review) in a special issue of Multimedia Tools and Applications.
