Right now we just make 1.0x and 1.5x speed videos. We are using the playbackRate attribute of the HTML5 <video> tag to speed up and slow down the videos. Chrome seems to have the best cross platform implementation of the playbackRate option right now and hopefully other browsers will implement it as well. The slider is all done using a jquery slider that steps in intervals of .1 Overall it only comes out to a few lines of code and we don't have to create multiple speeds of videos like we do for the flash player.
