The most important question is going to be how to integrate - if it's as easy as apt-get install auphonic then making some REST calls great. If licensing or hosted solutions are required then things get muddier.
No licensing or apt-get is necessary: auphonic is a web service ATM, so you only have to make REST calls.
We're all Java, but integrating with python through CURL calls would be fine (as shown in your FAQ).
The python calls on our webpage are just an example, one can integrate it of course also in Java - no problem! Authentication is possible via OAuth2 (suggested) or HTTP Basic Authentication.
