No licensing or apt-get is necessary: auphonic is a web service ATM,
so you only have to make REST calls.
Can it be installed locally? To reduce traffic and increase processing
speed?
No, not at the moment, we focus on audio algorithm development.
I would be a nightmare if someone else wants to install the system and
there are also legal problems with e.g. the HE-AAC encoder (we bought
one because there are no comparable free HE-AAC encoders yet) and MP3
encoders.
We plan to make a local version too, but not in the next months ...
