You asked how to get out of that vicious circle of not gaining enough users/developers/devices. I recommend *more* collaboration an *less* competition. Waiting for others to collaborate with you in your playground is *less* collaborative than joining others in their pre-existing playground. It is all collaborative. It is all competition. It is all good.
