Well, looks like the mayor needs to lower the skyscrapers and other tall buildings so that the walk down isn't so bad next time.
I think it was some friendly hackers giving us a heads up that the grid was not as well protected as claimed. Better our guys warning us than the real thing. Sitting next to a FEMA person watching the telly was wrenching, "they told us that the switching and other problems were fixed, they did nothing!" But it was nice that even the FOX dinglebrains realized the problem of Homeland Security is more than just National Guard people at Nuke plants without bullets in their guns... Sorry that so many people had to risk dehydration and assault in the big cities to make the powers that be see that something must be done for the infrastructure. Hopefully the need for greenspace will not be forgotten. Food availability within the large cities is homeland security. Also I wondered, how can you boil water if there are no open spaces and all your appliances are electric??? No woods to cut for firewood to boil the untreated water except in parks and would the police arrest you? Blessings to all, Helen Steely Harrisburg, Pa. ______________________________________________________ The American Community Gardening Association listserve is only one of ACGA's services to community gardeners.
