Tom, I am "green" again, as I have been off from Rails a couple of months and it changes a lot over 1 year or so.
What I have "heard" is right that, that a part of the enginesplugin is now in the core of Rails menawhile some cornerconcepts are not and never will, that is e.g. the possibility to simply overwrite functions etc and as far as I have seen this was one of the benefits of customizing CE, that you just can overwrite code in your own models/ controllers etc what would not be possible with Rails 2.3 Now, if the enginesplugin would still work, that might be stil possible, even if I have a strange feeling about using still the engines plugin if the main part is in the core maybe I am also totaly wrong, who knows, I have just spent a couple of hours for my resaerch and meanwhile tested them all out, in a fast way, that is CE, Tog, Inioshi and luvdbyless...guess I am not missing any here ? :) So for now I go with Tog I think also for the simple fact I have no clue about HAML and no time nor fun to get into this right now Anyway, looks like a promising project and who knows....i´ll give it a retry as soon as I have some time to play On Apr 15, 11:35 pm, Tom Bostelmann <[email protected]> wrote: > Matthi, > When you pull down a git version from Github just make sure you take the > 'edge' branch.
