Trey,
Actually, you can transfer files from your PC to your
Mac. You just have to realize that they use a
different operating system and the format of the
floppies is completely different. You couldn't format
a disk on your PC with DOS and trasfer DOS system
files to it for example and expect it to boot on the
Mac...
The Low End Mac website is probably a good place for
you to start for great information. And be sure to
read through the pickles FAQ!! There is a lot of
really good information in there. Some of it
specifically addresses the issues you are describing
(i.e. how to get an operating system on a Mac when
your only other machine is a PC, ect)
Anyway, the URL for the FAQ is
http://macfaq.binhost.com/index.shtml
And of course, the low end mac website can be found at
www.lowendmac.com.
