So I'm back. Yeah; I still have my four or so 400k floppies doin' clic-clic-clic. I 
was all ears so went to Dan off-list. But, hey, the p made me do it. So now it is WE 
are all ears. Tell us what it takes to rid our 400k drives of that clic-clic-clic 
thing. BTW, and just to be sure we are talking the same clic-clic-clic, my 4 drives 
are clicking as the follower on which the  magnetic head rides is pushed by the 
jackscrew to its limit making a click; retreating just a bit for but a moment; ramming 
forward into its limit again making a click, over and over again. This does sound like 
what you describe Dan.
