I prefer the best of both worlds. I like to run 6.0.8 on an internal drive,
for speed; and 7.1 update 3, with a few other things, on an external disk, for
features.
Then I have another Classic with 7.5.5. Sure, its slow and I wouldn't
recommend it. I just like to watch the start up screen. (Yes, "Excitement"
is my middle name.)
